MY Own Poem

WINDOWS OF HAZE

 ‘I will not yield,
I will not give in,
I will stay strong,
I will stay true to myself,
And therefore true to those around,
Give more than I had been given,
Live more than I was destined to…’

The words ring through again and again,
As oxygen to the dying body,
So be it for the dying soul ,
Sometimes its not enough…
Nothing ever is…
Clinging to life by a breaking thread,
Fractious and fragile,
Embarking on a path of mutilation and self destruction,
The path of discovery….-
That leads to nowhere
In a land so foreign…
Like the discoverer finding what was already found
Empty promises and deceptive futures
The power of belief much too overrated
Needing something perhaps customized
Not understanding but trudging through
The epitome of naivety and gullibility
Where goes the path from now?
To hell or heaven…
For ruin or restoration…
For pain or pleasure…
For Jesus or Judas…
Who can tell?

GMH

Today a little girl came up to me and asked me why I'm always jogging.

I told her it was because I was trying to lose weight, and she said I was crazy and that I was already very skinny and beautiful.

I'm anorexic, I ate my first meal in months today. Her comment saved my life.

Why Mickey Mouse was banned?

Mickey Mouse was banned in Romania in 1935 because they thought he would scare young children.

The government thought that a 10 foot mouse (on the movie screen) would be too much for Romanian children to handle. They must have reversed their decision since then, since Mickey still appears on the Romanian Disney Channel.

In the government's defense, the old Mickey Mouse cartoons could sometimes get pretty creepy.
